Heart,
Art & Creativity

Hi, I’m Hidaya Naima Machano—most people call me Naima. I’m a creative, global-minded student at Franklin & Marshall College, double majoring in Art and Psychology.

I am seeking internships and opportunities that help me learn, grow, and apply my creative, out-of-the-box thinking to the evolving fields of advertising and marketing.

SKILLS & CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT

A little about my background:

In high school, I embraced both learning and diverse experiences—competing with a state-champion rowing team, playing piano and violin, working as a busy restaurant hostess, and managing a demanding AP and Honors course load. I also made it a priority to spend time with friends and family, and to practice self-care, consistently advocating for mental well-being for myself and others. These core values and formative experiences continue to shape how I approach my college journey and lay the foundation for my future aspirations.

PSYCHOLOGY & ART INTEGRATION

My art studies have given me a strong foundation in visual communication and creative problem-solving, while my psychology coursework helps me understand audience motivations and how people connect with content. Through volunteer work in campus mental health advocacy, I’ve developed strong communication, collaboration, and empathy—key qualities for understanding what truly resonates with people.

ADPi LEADERSHIP & MARKETING

I currently serve as Vice President of Marketing for my college’s chapter of Alpha Delta Pi. In this role, I manage our brand strategy, design creative marketing materials, and run our official Instagram account—bridging creative outreach with organizational leadership.
